Minecraftathon 24hr stream

A few Bronies are trying to pull off something insane.
A 24 hour steam of Minecraft.
Now this has little to do with actual MLP: FiM, but they're Bronies, and Minecraft is a game, so I figured, meh, whatevs.

Brohoof Summer Sun Celebration 2012

Brohoof.com is hosting yet another Minecraft event, and you know what that means! Tons of partying, tournaments, quests, etc, and if their past events have been any indicator there might be a hostile invasion or two. It started at 12:00 PM and should last for about 3 hours, although chances are the event might go far over the petty limit if enough people attend and stick around for long enough, as the limit is somewhat flexible. There's also a post over at their forums with far more detailed info as to what you can expect, which can be found here.

Why not go on and be a part of the fun, eh? If I recall correctly the server IP is mc.brohoof.com (and if that doesn't work there is always 38.108.185.195 as a backup), so if you own Minecraft then you really have no excuse for not attending.

Brohoof Grand Galloping Gala Event

The folks over at the Brohoof.com Minecraft server recently had an amazing Minecraft event that they named the "Grand Galloping Gala 2012". Apparently from the video above and their article at The Daily Brohoof it was quite the event, with over 200 people attending and a bunch of fun games and contests to entertain the guests. And after all that, Queen Chrysalis crashed the party by invading!

Also, I nearly forgot, but the event was set up because they're recreating Equestria again. That's right, they're tossing out their current recreation of the fantastic world of My Little Pony and rebuilding it entirely from scratch! Hopefully this new version should be of a similar quality to the old version (perhaps even better!), or that they'll keep some kind of backup of this version in case they want the old one back.

Ponycraft

Ponycraft

Ponycraft, a Minecraft server dedicated to recreating Equestria, has been booming in progress. The server, created a mere month ago, already has many of Equestria's mane towns and areas almost completed. If you've got Minecraft, I definitely suggest stopping by on this server at some point, it's pretty amazing.

Fluttershy, the creator of Ponycraft, has recently released a seven minute long video showing what the server currently has done, it's actually pretty amazing. Keep in mind that most of this is actually incomplete, and quite a few places are still in the early planning stages, like Canterlot.

Canterlot in Minecraft

Over at the Brohoof.com Minecraft server they have recently finished an amazing, full-scale replica of Canterlot Castle, and it's stunning. Apparently it's been under construction since August, and they had a very large opening party (167 were on at the max, the most they've ever had).

You can visit it by connecting to their server and typing /warp canterlot, and if you just feel the need to see some screenshots, you can find them in a nifty gallery after the break.
